Many models have come forward to share that the modeling industry is brutal. We can only imagine how competitive things get, so it's not all that shocking to learn that models sometimes turn against each other. However, some might say that former supermodel Cheryl Tiegs took things too far when she made insensitive comments about Ashley Graham's body.

You might recall that the brunette beauty made headlines after she was featured on one of three Sports Illustrated Swimsuit covers in 2016. When asked about Graham's groundbreaking magazine cover during an interview for E! News, Tiegs shared: "I don't like that we're talking about full-figured women because it's glamorizing them because your waist should be smaller than 35 [inches]. That's what Dr. Oz said, and I'm sticking to it. No, I don't think it's healthy. Her face is beautiful. Beautiful. But I don't think it's healthy in the long run."

Graham reacted to the model's statement in a separate interview with E! News, and it turns out that she didn't let her comments bother her. "But what's great is that  —the fact that she said it — it means that other women think like her. And what that means is that we really need to change the industry," she said in part. Tiegs later issued an apology.
