Los Angeles, CA -

Teen rapper Flau’jae earned the coveted golden buzzer on Tuesday (August 7), during her second performance on America’s Got Talent.

Hailing from Savannah, Georgia, Flau’jae garnered heavy praise during her debut on the reality talent show in late May after rapping about gun violence.

Prior to performing an original song titled “I Can’t Lose” on Tuesday, the 14-year-old reminded viewers of her father, Camouflage’s story and her desire to fulfill his legacy.

“My dad his name was Camouflage. He was a rapper, up-and-coming,” Flau’jae said. “He was going to be signed to Universal Records. But two days before he was going to sign the contract, he got murdered. And my mom was pregnant with me. My whole goal is to continue my father’s legacy.”

After rapping about “face-to-face” and “mental” struggles on “I Can’t Lose,” Flau’jae received feedback from the show’s judges. She received praise from all five judges, but earned the golden buzzer thanks to the show’s guest judge, Chris Hardwick.

“I’m blown away. And I was blown away by your audition,” Hardwick said, following Flau’jae’s performance. “I have goosebumps and I’m shaking a little bit because I want to tell you something. At 14-years-old, you have the kind of authenticity and honesty that some artists never achieve in their entire lives.”

Having received the golden buzzer, Flau’jae will now fast-forward straight to the live rounds.
